Privacy Policy
Who we are
This website is operated by Sue Taghioff Design Interiors (“we”), based in West Sussex, UK. For any questions about how we handle your data — or to exercise your rights — please contact us via the Contact page.
What data we collect
We collect only the information needed to respond to you and fulfil your orders:
- Your name, email address, telephone number and — when you place an order — delivery address, submitted through our order, quote or contact forms
- The details of your order or enquiry
- Anonymous usage data (pages visited, time on site) via Google Analytics — only if you accept analytics cookies
Card payments are handled entirely by Stripe, our payment provider. Your card details are entered on Stripe's secure payment page and are never seen or stored by us — we only receive confirmation that a payment succeeded. Where payment is arranged directly with us instead, no card details are collected online.
How we use your data
- To process and fulfil your orders, and to respond to quote requests and enquiries
- To contact you about your order or enquiry
- To improve the website using anonymised analytics — only with your consent
We do not sell your personal data or use it for third-party marketing.
Where your data is stored
We use trusted service providers to run the site and store your data securely on our behalf:
- Google Firebase — website hosting, database and file storage (your order and enquiry details are stored here)
- Stripe — secure card payment processing (we never receive your card details)
- Google reCAPTCHA — protects our contact and quote forms from automated abuse; it is only loaded when you submit one of those forms
- Google Analytics — anonymous website usage statistics, loaded only with your consent
- Email delivery of order and enquiry notifications to us
These providers process data only on our instructions. Some may process data outside the UK, where appropriate safeguards apply. We keep order and enquiry records only for as long as needed for our records and any legal obligations.
Cookies
We use two kinds of cookies and similar storage:
- Strictly necessary — these remember your shopping basket and your cookie choice. They are always on and do not require consent, as the site cannot work properly without them.
- Analytics — Google Analytics cookies that help us understand how the site is used. These load only if you choose “Accept”. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time using the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of any page; declining removes the analytics cookies.
| Name | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| cart | Essential | Remembers the items in your shopping basket | Until you clear it |
| cookie_consent | Essential | Remembers your cookie preference | Up to 12 months, then we ask again |
| _ga | Analytics | Tells returning visitors apart | 2 years |
| _ga_* | Analytics | Keeps Google Analytics session state | 2 years |
| _gid | Analytics | Tells visitors apart | 24 hours |
Analytics cookies (the _ga / _gid entries) are only set after you choose “Accept”, and are removed if you decline. The essential entries are stored in your browser and are needed for the site to work.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct or request deletion of your personal data, to object to or restrict its processing, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise these rights, please contact us via the Contact page. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version will always be available on this page. Last updated: July 2026.
